Check this addition to my collection of famous personalities, not only have i got Peter Crouch (May ha ha) on here, now I have met the Hairy Bikers, here's one of them giving it thumbs at the 'Chill Factor' MCR. They were filming their cooking program on piste and had set up all their equipment in the middle of the slope, so maybe me and pals might get background props, we took a few good falls so look out for them on T.V , at least watch the Hairy Bastards making tasty nosh sometime spring 2009 BBC 2, finally, I've made it.

We also busted some moves on the rails there, Jim filmed this piece on his mob cam, to be honest though we killed it and was having lots of laughs, Jim takes the first slam and then felix smashes it, and we only filmed one run, future manchester snowboard pro's, maybe or just a bunch of divvys.

Well, i have been trying to encode this film and failing miserable, here is a low , therefore poor quality version of the film that im trying to upload to my site, so don't tell anybody about this because a better quality version will be on 'stupid' soon. ( as if anybody reads this crap anyway)

Oh yeah did I forget to mention it took 1million hours and now i don't have eyes, just sand where eyes should be and everybody i know doesn't recognize me because I have lived most of summer in my small dark office with only the voices in my head to keep me company. When I showed this to my sister she laughed and said "you gave yourself the longest part, " and I laughed and said "i know, i wrote the theme tune, sang the theme tune, as well." Jon has been growing his beard for months in silent protest to the council not fitting the lights to the city center skate park they promised many moons ago, well now is the time and the lights will be functional unlike Jon's face which is an actual forest of chin pubes and happy thoughts. I was lucky enough to bump into Jon days before the lights go online, so no more beard and no more searching for food and missing keys in Jons beard, also no more darkness at Projekts skate facility because Jon and his beard made it light, so no more itching and looking biblical for Jesus loving Jon, just light and sketchy skateboarding in a lighter pump cage, nice work furface ... My whole life I have never seen a native British lizard, assuming that lizards only belong to hot country's, I found this beauty on a rock, up a fell, near Coniston water in the Lake District, it was cold and must have just woken from hibernation.

If I was a Celtic shaman who believed in spirit animals and felt connected with the world around me then I would be well stoked, this lizard was beautiful and Cumbrian, I have never seen a British reptile let alone held one, the scales and shape all very dinosaur and ancient looking, I'm glad there's animals like this still around and living in the Lakes, we need to look after them because they're freaking amazing.....

I been visiting medieval castles with my lady, hardly gnar gnar, i know, its good to be cultured though. Last weekend a visit to Edinburgh, one of the best city's in the UK, the weather changes rapid there, one minute is raining then its sunny, that's Scotland for you, Kerry can't stand the cold. We also went to Piel Island off the coast of Barrow in Furness,Cumbria, on a sunny day its one of the Norths best kept secrets, only reachable by ferry

Hey folks, have you ever skated an indoor wooden bowl with concrete coping all painted psychedelic colours with skulls and blood and the souls of men floating around type park before? Hell, have you ever skated before? regardless, Dewsburys park 'The Ripped' is a growling beast of skateboard riding construction, you grind the bowl and it spits teeth at you, it sounds like lords of the dogtown pool skating, grrrrrrrrrr

Grrrrr the concrete coping and mixture of street and mini bowl make this park a meany, and its a top skate, thrown together by Snoz the boss, another sweety is the green kidney bowl, top shit.

I filmed some mob footage but the light wasn't great, Kendrick tore around the place flipping and shitting everywhere, so did Jim, we had a good day, look at this (its not great but look at this)

Mark Kendrick told me an interesting story about his grandad who was Polish and moved here after the war, he got married and changed his name from Strazesfski to Kendrick to please the missus, he's thinking about changing it back, say hello to...

Went to Central skate park last night, Bird man was there i haven't seen him for years, he was with the Lancaster crew, good session, Rob Smith dropped in and flipped four variations of Miller flip on the 8ft halfpipe, first run first try, i missed that but mob cam captured this little beauty

Burnley bowl is Powerful

Burnley, the greatest place on earth and home to Europe's largest indoor bowl (i think that's why it's the greatest place on earth.) A massive T shaped construction with various sized corners, one with at least 2.5 foot of vert, this bowl is fast and challenging, when rolling around the beast it seems never ending and the different levels just seem to loom up at every carve.

Simply put, it doesn't get much better than this, and its in the North of England, Burnley, a mecca for all skateboarders, go there now.

I filmed a bit on my mobile, can't rotate it though so it looks a bit wonky, wtf? Check out the carving round the bowl, pretty freaky filming (pump vision), until next time, punks, goodbye..

Runcorn Concrete Shred (dampness)

After months of seemingly endless greyness the sun finally decided to put his hat on and come out to play, so without doubt a trip to some concrete was in order. Trying to find people who weren't working or busy proved difficult, sorry workers. Luckily Jim was free so off we went to Warrington.

We arrived to find that it was half term, full of bmx riders and still scattered with puddles and scum, a five minute skate before agreeing a trip to Runcorn was in order. Note to concrete park veterans, it's useful to pack a brush and towel because even if its sunny the parks seem to gather a winters worth of slime an damp, a bit obvious really.

We managed to navigate our way to the park, which is harder than i thought, it seems Runcorn consists of loads and loads of roundabouts, the parks in the Castlefield area, not far off the express way.
The power stations brood on the horizon, they call them 'Fiddlers Ferry,' and make a mean background. The bowls here were damp, unskateable but ace when dry, this place is good for a small area but so many kids on skootays and beginners, what did i expect during half term? Still the sun shone and the locals ripped and little kids were all wide eyed and chucking skootays around and me and Jim tore around the place. Check out the mobile cam for an insight, modern technology, i couldn't live without it.

Well it was another day under northern sky's. Thanks to Felix at Cast for the deal on the Stereo board, it rips ..oh yeah ..giggidy, until next time..

Big Chill is big time fun

Just the other day a few of my friends went to the indoor snow dome near Manchester, its called the Big Chill, off peak it only costs £17,

that's with free snowboard and boots hire and for 1.5 hours. Its a surreal feeling stepping onto a real snow slope and snowboarding and then getting in the car and driving through Manchester city, still i would definatley recommend it.

Here i am scooting down the slope, oh yeah giggdy giggdy

Before the boarding started the pressure got to me and much to my delight i found the icing on the cake, what with the real snow, lifts and pictures of icy peaks the feeling of really standing on the side of a mountain was close and after a trip to the dunny, it felt like i was really shitting in the woods, attention to detail is everything.
